During VASER liposuction, which is an ultrasound energy assisted liposuction method, you will be put under general anesthesia. A saline solution or tumescent fluid mixed with an anesthetic will be injected into the targeted area. Then, ultrasound probes will be inserted into the skin through a small incision to break up the fatty tissue.

The fatty tissue will gently start to break apart, and a cannula will be used to vacuum out the fatty tissue and most of the fluid through the same port.

One month before the operation we will ask you to avoid taking aspirin, anti-inflammatory drugs, vitamins and herbal supplements as they can increase bleeding. Further information regarding the medication usage will be given you by your health consultant. Since after the operation we will ask you not to carry heavy loads we will ask you not to travel with a heavy luggage. We recommend you to bring comfortable clothes.

The operation consists in three phases. The beginning phase is the anesthesia, your operation will be performed in general anesthesia. Then the second phase is the incision, This operation is performed through small, inconspicuous incisions. Then with a cannula, that is inserted through the incisions to loosen excess fat using a controlled back and forth motion and then this fat is suctioned out of the body using a surgical vacuum. Even if the result of the operation is seen right after the operation, the final result of this operation is seen once the swelling and fluid retention is gone so it might take up to 6-12 months.
